In the photo is little Amelia. Since birth, this brave little girl has been fighting desperately against devastating diagnoses. Despite numerous limitations and frequent painful episodes, Amelia knows how to love wholeheartedly, find joy, and cherish her life. Most of all, Amelia loves her family’s hugs; she genuinely delights in new toys, and she also strives to share her warmth with the whole world and easily opens her heart to new friends…
Unfortunately, Amelia has had severe brain damage since birth and suffers from one of the most severe forms of epilepsy—West syndrome. Due to severe spasticity, her body is gradually becoming deformed, and every movement is extremely difficult for her. Amelia is currently undergoing a difficult recovery following successful hip surgery, and a long period of rehabilitation lies ahead for her. This treatment is vital for her. Doctors emphasize that without regular therapy, her condition could rapidly deteriorate.
Each course of intensive rehabilitation costs the family hundreds of thousands of hryvnias, but it is precisely these courses that offer a chance to reduce pain, preserve mobility, and give the child the opportunity to live a more comfortable life. The girl’s family is asking for help in raising part of the funds needed for her continued treatment. Every donation can provide vital support and make a significant difference. Please, don’t stand by and do nothing!
